Feeding:
Lactation, Bottle Feeding, & Baby Led Weaning
Feeding a baby is one of the most important, essential, and frequent activities the infant parent dyad will engage in. While it seems like it should be intuitive and natural, sometimes there are challenges, especially with breastfeeding.
Feeding therapy can help with simple barriers to infant feeding and / or more complex feeding challenges. Sessions are designed to meet the needs of you and your baby.
Feeding Therapy is recommended when:
Difficulty with latching onto the breast
Oral motor challenges
Anatomical challenges such as Anklyglossia, high palate, cleft palate
Coughing, choking or gagging upon breast or bottle feeding
Picky eating
Delay in transition to solids
Special need infants such as Prematurity, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy or Cardiac condition
